Tenets

1. Light is the tapestry of creation.

Spiritual Light is the foundation of all existence. Like the frames in a movie projector, the illusory images are bypassed when we know the Source Light behind the projection.

2. You don’t need to explain yourself to others.

You have your views. Be aware of your audience. Speak your truth, do not defend it.

Who is the “I” that needs to win an argument or get a point across? It is not the Master.

The Master acts without doing anything
and teaches without saying anything

The Master has but doesn’t posses,
acts but doesn’t expect.

When the Master’s work is done, it is forgotten,
That is why it last forever.

Tao Te Ching

3. Judge nothing.

The world is a place of constant criticism and judgement. Remember: “High and low define each other.” To judge is to exist in duality. To exist in duality is to take sides. To take sides is to identify as being less or greater than something else. Allow that to be, but try not to identify with it.

4. Allow others to make mistakes.

Attempting to control the actions of others, only leads to frustration when they fail to meet our requirements. Instead, allow others to fumble, to make mistakes. If we can guide them without frustration, do so in a helpful way, otherwise remain silent and allow others to make mistakes.

5. Reside in Balance

Living in the world we build up imbalance. Recognize the imbalance and correct it. Consciously balance inner forces with their opposite.

6. Observe moments with the Master. Compare to moments without.

As the Master resides in us, more and more, recognize the state of the Master as it is without tension – it accepts all as it is. The state of the Master is a calm abiding. It is the deep and harmonious connection of the teacher becoming our guide. Without the master is the state of worry, anxiety and frustration.

7. Be at One with the Master

In meditation, the Master can guide us through deep feeling and thought (or even perhaps words). Going deeper, we can don the Master as a replacement to the human personality. The Master in us, working through us, is the union and Oneness of Master / aspirant. These moments may be fleeting, build upon them so they can be accessed at any moment and in greater depth.

When facing a trial, or frustration, don the Master. Throughout the day, don the Master. Put the cloak of the Master upon you, so that the personality is let go, and the Master lives through you.

8. Love is Union

Separating is segregating, it is the attempt to say one is greater than another, or that another is less. This creates the illusion of duality. To be free of the delusion, choose a path of unity.

9. Do your job and forget it.

Do not control the successes or failures of others. Do what is requested, then forget the work.
